The iconic Blue Bridge downtown Grand Rapids will light up orange tonight in recognition of National Gun Violence Awareness Day, MLive reports. As part of the national "Wear Orange" Campaign to bring attention to gun violence, the pedestrian bridge will stay orange through June 6.

Tonight, June 2, at 6p.m. an event is planned at Ah-Nab-Awen park, hosted by Moms Demand Action, with live music, food, an orange balloon release, and a proclamation from Mayor Rosalynn Bliss.

Similar events are happening in Kalamazoo, MLive reports.
