The 76th Grand Rapids Boat Show was supposed to be held on Feb 17-22 at Devos Place but has been postponed due to the pandemic.

The show will now be held in February 2022. The show organizers, ShowSpan Inc., made the announcement on January 18.

Henri Boucher, Producer and Vice President of ShowSpan told WWMT,

"Our primary concern is to provide a quality shopping experience while doing everything we can to protect the health and well-being of the greater community, and to ensure a safe environment for our exhibitors, vendors, patrons, and staff.”

He went on to say,

“Production of a major consumer show takes a lot of planning and investment that requires lead time. We could not anticipate conditions at the end of February to assure our exhibitors that the show could be opened on schedule.”

ShowSpan has cancelled 3 other shows that were scheduled. They include The Michigan International Auto Show, The Remodeling and new Homes Show and the Camper, Travel and RV show. ShowSpan’s next Grand Rapids event, the 2021 West Michigan Home & Garden Show, is still scheduled for March 4 to March 7 at DeVos Place.
