Following a threat that listed them as a 'target', the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Grand Rapids has closed their Child Development Center, their office, their Downtown Food Pantry, and their open door ministry for the day.

According to a Facebook post from the church, Westminster was listed as a target inside of a suspicious package that was found in Dearborn Heights on Monday.

The GRPD says that there is not immediate danger to the church, but the church has closed the above mentioned services for the day as a precautionary measure.

It is not know yet what the motive or intent is behind the creation of the list.

In their statement, the church said, "Although we do not know the motive or intent behind the creation of this list, we offer our support for the other faith communities included."

Any question regarding Westminster's services should be directed to David Baak, Executive Pastor, at 616-717-5544 or Heather Colletto, Direction of Communication and Mission, at 616-717-5536.
