A local man who's been facing multiple charges for a double homicide in Grand Rapids is now being pursued by the U.S. Marshals.

47-year-old Derrell Demon Brown was added to the 15 Most Wanted List on Monday, and a $25,000 reward is being offered to anyone who has information leading to his arrest. Brown is the main suspect in the murder of his girlfriend (Cherletta Baber-Bey) and her 25-year-old niece (Keyona Griffin) back in March of 2019. They were found shot multiple times in the home that Brown and his girlfriend lived in together. In addition, he has a warrant for possessing stolen a stolen firearm.

The Director of the U.S. Marshals said in a statement that it was crucial he be found as he poses a major threat to the public and is considered armed and dangerous. They believe he has fled the state right after the murders and is getting help from acquaintances or family members.

Derrell Brown has lived in Grand Rapids his entire life, but he has relatives in Wisconsin, Arizona, Georgia and Ohio.

The suspect is described as a 5'8" black man with black hair and brown hair and weighs around 180-pounds. Apparently, he also goes by a number of different names such as "Michael Richardson," "JJ Robinson," and "Marcus Wright."

Anyone with information that can lead to Brown being located and arrested is asked to contact the U.S. Marshals Office at 1-877-WANTED-2. An anonymous tip can also be submitted here.
