Breakfast lovers, rejoice!

A local high school student plans to open a new cereal and breakfast bar in Eastown.

Grand Rapid Business Journal reports that 17-year-old Taylor Kyle will open Eastown Cereal Café, at 1505 Wealthy St. SE, at the end of November. Kyle's parents own KD’s Sports Bar in Wyoming.

The new breakfast joint will serve a variety of cereal, milk, and other options like oatmeal, muffins, coffee, and juice.

Kyle tells GRBJ,

My idea was to start a business that appeals to people of all ages, especially my generation. I chose this location because it is a hot spot for new and growing businesses and a great area for food.

Colliers International West Michigan is representing both Kyle and the landlord.

The space is currently under renovation. Kyle is working to create a safe place for guests and customers during the pandemic, following all CDC guidelines. Indoor and outdoor seating are planned, plus a walk-up window for take-out orders.
