Flooding in Michigan Rivers, including the Grand River through Grand Rapids, is expected to get get worse in the next 72 hours. One to three inches of new rain is expected to send flood stages well above normal levels by the weekend. The area has already experienced above average rainfall totals, combined with average winter snowfall totals, swelling the Grand in many places.

WZZM TV 13 has the latest on the flooding and the upcoming weekend.

"WZZM 13 visited flooded areas across Kent County and found the Grand River at two to three feet above flood stage. Hydrologist Mark Walton says that's moderate flooding. In two days the area could hit major flood stage."
