For the second time in just a few days, the Griffins game is being postponed.

The Grand Rapids Griffins were set to play the Chicago Wolves on Friday but due to "COVID-19 protocols affecting the Wolves" they were forced to cancel. Now Tuesday night's (March 23rd) home game has been cancelled due to the same issue, in a press release from the American Hockey League (AHL).

Fans who had tickets for Tuesday's game will be honored for the new date, which has yet to be determined. You don't need to exchange your tickets, however, if you rather receive a refund you must fill out the refund request form here. Friday's missed game also hasn't been rescheduled yet.

The next game the Griffins are set to play is Friday and Saturday in Iowa against the Wild. Their next home game is Saturday, April 10 against the Rockford IceHogs.

This past weekend, the city's beloved hockey team was in Cleveland where they took the W in a final score of 5-2. Since the start of the season in February, the Griffins have won 7 out of 12 games.

Earlier this month the Griffins upped the number of fans allowed in the arena at their home games from 100 to 750.

The Grand Rapids Griffins officially became part of the AHL in 2001 and have won two Calder Cup Champions, in 2013 and 2017.
