After the past year and some change of no live entertainment happening in West Michigan, concerts are finally starting to come back.

One of the best places to see a show in the summer is Frederik Meijer Gardens, and it looks like we'll have those to look forward to again this year.

The full lineup won't be announced until Monday, June 14 - but one artist that will be coming has already let the cat out of the bag.

Harry Connick Jr. announced on his website Tuesday that he'll be playing a show at Meijer Gardens on Monday, August 9, 2021.

According to Frederik Meijer Gardens, tickets for the summer concert series will go on sale to Meijer Gardens members on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 10 a.m. History has shown that several shows tend to sell out during the presale.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 9 a.m.

All tickets will be sold online at eTix.com or by calling 1-800-514-3849.

Meijer Gardens gave us a bit of a sneak peek into the lineup back in April. Other bands/artists coming to town for the 2021 concert series include: O.A.R., The Verve Pipe, Kansas, and St. Paul & The Broken Bones and Black Violin + Blind Boys of Alabama.

More good news is that they intend to have a full 30 show lineup for the series again this year.

In addition to the national acts coming to the Gardens this summer, they've also teamed up with the Grand Rapids Symphony for three shows. Those shows will include a solo GR Symphony show, a show in which they team up with the band Pink Martini, and another show that is yet to be announced.
