To a lot people, snow just sucks, but to others, there is lots of fun to be had in right here in West Michigan.

Now I'm like everyone else, I am not of fan of bad roads especially when I already have a super long drive to work coming from Newaygo County to downtown Grand Rapids. I also don't like the fact that I have to plow my driveway again, just two days after clearing from the last couple snowfalls.

There is another side to all this snow and West Michigan has so many options to enjoy the fluffy white stuff.

If you want to get the kids out of the house and to bed early, take them to one of the area park's sled riding. Dress the kids warm and have some hot chocolate for when they get home and after a day heading down the hill, they won't be fighting you when it's bedtime for sure. Here are some area parks to try: Belknap Park in Grand Rapids, Highland Park in Grand Rapids, Mary Waters Park in Grand Rapids, Plaster Creek Family Park in Grand Rapids, Richmond Park in Grand Rapids, Mulick Park in Grand Rapids, Pinery Park in Wyoming, Palmer Park in Wyoming, Johnson Park in Walker, Cannonsburg (Awesome Tubing) in Belmont, Mulligans Hollow Ski Park in Grand Haven and Echo Valley in Kalamazoo just to name a few, but I think you get my drift...uh, see what I did there? Lol.

Pus there is ice skating at Rosa Parks Circle downtown Grand Rapids.

If you like to snowmobile, ice fish, hike, walk, camp...yes I said camp, or even ride your fat tire bike in this crazy weather, here is link to all the hotspots (sarcasm) to the whole state of Michigan by clicking here.

There is one park in particular that I wanted to highlight and it's the Muskegon Luge Adventure Sports Park where you can skate, ski, snowshoe and luge. I am very interested into taking my son there to try the luge track. There are only four luge tracks in the entire United States and one is right here in West Michigan. This track is perfect for those who have never tried the sport before.

We have options here in West Michigan when it comes to fun in the snow, so find something you like or always wanted to try and have a blast.
