HBO Documentary Spotlights Larry Nassar’s Abuse [Video]

How did someone like Larry Nassar abuse women for years without being detected? That is the question at the heart of a HBO Documentary that debuts Thursday.

The film, by self described gymnastics 'super fan' Erin Lee Carr, examines the system of pwer that allowed Nassar to go undetected for years, despite several complaints from victims.

Nassar was an employee of Michigan State University for over 20 years. He was found guilty in 2018 of the abuse of over 150 women and is currently in prison.

'At The Heart Of Gold' will cause 'heartache, stomach churning and festering anger' says the LA Times.

The film will debut Thursday at the Tribeca FIlm Festival. It will also air that day on HBO.

As the Tribeca guide describes,

" 'At the Heart of Gold' follows the money and it leads to the abuse of the bodies of young girls deemed disposable. But the films also highlights their efforts to fight back and earn the most important title of their lives: survivor."
