If you didn't receive the love you wanted for Valentine's Day, there is plenty of love spread through out Downtown Grand Rapids. You might notice the heart-shaped murals around town.

An art installation that is comprised of 12 heart-shaped works of art created by 14 local artists is set up. It's Called "Have A Heart GR." It's part of the "World Of Winter" festival and will be on display until Feb. 28. The hearts have QR codes which allow people to make donations to various charities.

Grand Rapids artist Barbara Lash told Fox 17,

"These beautiful artworks provide everyone an opportunity to support local groups helping make Grand Rapids a better place to live and work. We want to encourage people to think more deeply about the community around them and how they can get more involved in its growth and equity."

The large colorful hearts are placed along Monroe Center in downtown Grand Rapids, leading from Mexo on the East to Starbucks on the West. They can be found in Rosa Parks Circle, outside the Grand Rapids Public Museum and throughout Monroe Center’s social zones. The heart murals are sponsored by Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. The goal of "Have A Heart GR" is to bring together the creative and social champions at the heart of our city to create awareness through art."
