Heat Up Your Taste Buds at the Downtown Market on Saturday

With winter weather upon us this weekend the Downtown Market is heating things up... at least your mouth.

The Downtown Market in Grand Rapids is hosting a Spicy Saturday full of "blazin' bites," "strong sips," and "fiery flavors." The different vendors throughout the market will be showcasing some of their best spicy foods and drinks such as:

• Hot Pepper Brisket Burrito at Slows Bar B Q
• Turkey Barn Fire Sandwich at Carvers
• Jalapeno Key Lime Pie Cupcake at Sweetie-licious
• Frostie Six Pack at High Tide Soda

And that's just naming a few!! You can see all the delicious offerings on the menu here. In addition to spicy food, there will be some sweet deals too.

The main event of the day is the  “So Cluckin’ Hot” wing eating challenge hosted by Juju Bird. That will take place between noon and 1 p.m. In the press release from the Downtown Market,

 Participants will have 10 minutes to eat 12 of Juju Bird’s famous “So Cluckin’ Hot” wings.

The winner will receive a $50 gift card to the market and $100 cash. Are you up for the challenge? ;-)
