When I woke up this morning, I checked my phone like most days. I had received a late night text from my daughter. She had sent me a TikTok. Nothing new about that! It was about the cutest candle shop in Grand Rapids. They love to burn...let's investigate...

Going to the comments section of the post on TikTok, I found out the video is about Wax Poetic Candle Bar. Open since November 2017, Wax Poetic Candle Bar is a soothing place for you to pour your own candle. You can pick the scents, size and container of candles you make. You can create your own label and name your candle whatever your heart desires.

The process of making your own candle takes about 45 minutes to an hour. Jill Bromley-Sung, the owner, says on their website that Wax Poetic Candle Bar uses high quality products free of chemicals and additives.  The candles produced from the store are clean burning and environmentally friendly.

Prices range from $21 to $72. Hours of operation are Tuesday - Saturday 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Sunday 11-5 and Monday 11-5. Reservations are required due to COVID-19 regulations.
