Demolition on the exterior of Joe Louis Arena begins Tuesday in downtown Detroit. Here's one last look at the old barn that housed several championship seasons.

Memories will come flooding today when the old JLA gets taken down for good.

After a long dry spell, Red Wing hockey returned to glory in the building along the river in the Motor City. From the Russian Five to the Euro Twins, Stanley Cups were hoisted by Red Wing teams that called 'The Joe' home in 1997,1998, 2002 and 2008.

This season, the team moved into their new home down the road at Little Caesar's Arena,

Despite the poorly planned exterior stairs and the long lines for beer, the Joe was home and it meant Red Wing hockey. Goodbye, old boy, we'll miss you!
