A pair of college hockey players set off on a multi-state journey to raise money for the American Cancer Society and they did it on rollerblades.

Roommates Andrew Walker and Jacob Adkins departed from Boston on July 13th, traveling nearly 900 miles to Lansing, Michigan, for their fundraiser.

The University of Massachusetts Boston teammates spent 10 days rollerblading, keeping their supporters up to date with their "Men in Blades" InstagramTwitter, and YouTube pages before arriving at their destination on July 23rd. And according to their GoFundMe page, their trip has raised more than $26-thousand so far.

“Cancer has affected most of us in one way or another. We have both personally seen the struggles close up and couldn't imagine having to fight this horrible disease in the wake of a pandemic,” they write. “Being collegiate hockey players, we wanted to find a way to help those in need by doing what we know best - skating!!”
