Holly Holm Shocks The World With Head-Kick KO Of Ronda Rousey

Wow—whether you are a huge UFC fan or just someone that likes to watch history in the making—you had to be a little blown away by what took place in Melbourne, Australia over the weekend. Oh you missed it? Holly Holm stunned the world when she took down undefeated Rhonda Rousey with head-kick knockout at UFC 193.

Rousey had only had one of her 12 UFC fights even make into the second round winning 11 in the first, but when this one got to the second you could sense Rousey was in trouble.

Holm had easily won the first round landing far more of her blows than the defending UFC champ and Holm wasted no time setting the pace in the second round and sending Rousey to the mat just seconds in.

Rousey started to get up off the mat and just as she lifted her hands and turned, Holm absolutely blasted her with a left high kick that sent Rousey crashing back to the mat and her incredible UFC run crashing to a halt just 59 seconds into the round.

Holm spent the night as the new UFC bantamweight champ.

Rousey spent it in the hospital as a safety precaution.

Rousey was released the yesterday, but she can’t be feeling good. But all signs say there will be a rematch.
