No need to freak out West Michigan, those Sno-Cone Machines we've been needing so badly are finally here, courtesy of Homeland Security." Huh?", you ask.

Yep, a grant from Homeland Security  paid for Arctic Blast Sno-Cone makers to be distributed to 13 counties in West Michigan-- including Kent, Ionia, Muskegon, Ottawa and Newaygo-- for "medical use". Sound weird? It did to Stephen Colbert too.

According to WOOD TV-8 , the "machines will assist with treating the onset of heat exhaustion and stroke during large scale events or activities including possible terrorist incidents or similar emergencies." However, officials are also saying that the machines will be used at promotional events to recruit volunteers.
