In a video released to students this morning via Facebook, Hope College President Matthew Scogin addressed concerns over a student's illness possibly being CoVid-19.

A student at Hope College has been quarantined after it appeared they may have been exposed with the novel coronavirus, CoVid-19.

The Ottawa County Health Department is on top of the situation and is testing the student to see if they do indeed have CoVid-19. It's important to know the student did not have contact with the potential virus on campus.

In the video address to students, Scogins added to his previous printed missive on the case by adding that,

...in my own view, almost as bad as the virus itself is the quote 'virus of fear' that's spreading around the world with it...We at Hope College...don't panic and don't live in fear...We prepare, we plan and we pray.
