Have you ever had something sitting right in front of your face, and you never knew it until someone pointed it out to you?

A few years ago, a friend of mine pointed out that the gas gauge in your car has a little arrow next to it which indicates which side the gas intake is on.  I felt really stupid.

Now, I've been schooled once again.

A friend of mine showed me I had hundreds of messages I was ignoring on Facebook.  It turns out, on the top of the message page, there's a second inbox called "others", which contains messages from people on Facebook "other" than your friends.  I never knew this even though, as you can see from the photo, it's right there in front of me.

The good news is, most of these messages are from Spambots trying to lure me into their evil lairs, or ads from sites who want me to follow them, but some of them were legitimately from people trying to get a hold of me.  I guess it's a little too late to reply to them now.
