Ice skating at Rosa Parks Circle is always a big part of winter fun in downtown Grand Rapids.

Rosa Parks Circle is set to open to ice skaters for the season on Friday, December 5 at noon.

Rosa Parks Circle's ice rink brings great crowds to Grand Rapids throughout winter. With Mother Nature's continued cooperation, this season's fun will begin at noon on Friday.

The rink is set to close on March 8.

Daily hours of operations are:

  • Monday: Noon - 5:45 p.m.
  • Tuesday - Sunday: Noon - 9:45 p.m.

Skating is always weather dependent. Cancellations will be announced on Grand Rapids Park & Recreation's program cancellation line at (616) 456-3699.

Admission is $2 for 18 & up and $1 for under 18. Skate rental is free with paid admission.

Dress warm and have fun, but remember, it's all about the hot chocolate.
