On my calendar, there are lots of free food opportunities. Free smoothies, free sandwiches, free fries and the such. AND free donuts. Usually National Donut Day (or free donut day) is in June. Now I'm watching Take 5 and Company on TV 13 THEY say TODAY is "National Donut Day"? I'm confused.

Everything online I find says National Donut Day is "on the first Friday of June each year, succeeding the Doughnut Day event created by The Salvation Army in 1938" That's from Wikipedia. My own story "Today Is Free Donut Day In West Michigan!" higlighted where to get free donuts back in June. And nothing on the Krispy Kreme or Tim Hortons Facebook pages.

Now along with TV 13, I also found this story on Pinterest "What's Cooking on Pinterest? Donut Pancakes for National Donut Day" that was posted this morning at 8am. I'm not which day is the ACTUAL donut day...guess I will have to get some and celebrate....:)
