It’s Not Too Early to Think About Tulip Time
May, 2018 is really not that far off. And, even though we're planning Thanksgiving and Christmas, and thinking of dealing with snow, spring sounds pretty good.
You know what happens when we hit May, don't you? Tulips and the Tulip Time Festival in Holland. The festival committee just announced that entertainment tickets are now on sale, and can be purchased online at www.tuliptime.com, in person at the Tulip Time Festival Box Office located at 74 West 8th Street, Holland, Michigan, or by phone at 800-822-2770.
There is lots of excitement about next years event because The Beach Boys will be there, performing on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Central Wesleyan Church.
“We are so excited about The Beach Boys coming to Tulip Time in 2018,” stated Gwen Auwerda, Tulip Time Executive Director. “Since the announcement of their performance was made on October 25, we have had an overwhelmingly positive response.”
Premium Seating tickets (rows 1 through 11) are $75/person; General Seating tickets are $65/person.
Two other nationally known acts join the Tulip Time entertainment line-up for the first time in 2018. The Texas Tenors, who experienced a whirlwind debut eight years ago on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” share a unique blend of country, classical, Broadway and current pop music. They blend vocals, humor and a touch of cowboy charm to create an unforgettable live show. Also appearing for the first time are Liverpool Legends. These four incredibly talented musicians and actors, handpicked by Louise Harrison – sister of the late George Harrison of The Beatles, perform songs spanning the entire career of The Beatles and on through the solo years.
Rounding out the national entertainment line-up are two festival favorites – New Odyssey, now with six shows during the week, and FiddleFire, back for their 6th year.
The Local Arts & Culture Series will highlight fabulous local talent in a wide variety of shows featuring everything from music, comedy to swing dancing. A new series, Nights at the Knick, showcases all Michigan entertainers at the Knickerbocker Theatre in Downtown Holland.
There is still a lot of planning going on at Tulip Time. Watch for more program announcements on the Mother’s Day celebration, art parties and other fun ways to celebrate Tulip Time!
