Popular West Michigan Tavern Expanding With New Restaurant and Bar
A popular West Michigan bar and restaurant is set to open a new fast-casual, upscale pub.

Scott Ingersoll, owner of Mill Creek Tavern in Comstock Park has a new eatery in the works.
He's planning to open The Gritzmaker Social House at 120 E. Main Ave., the home of the former Elbo Room.
In May, Ingersoll submitted a special land use application seeking approval of the sale of alcohol for on-premises consumption at the new, approximately 80 seat restaurant to the City of Zeeland Planning Commission.
Ingersoll says,
"We are community driven family focused business. Our goal is to provide first class service & top quality food while also giving back to the community focusing on our mission statement of 'community unity'."
The Gritzmaker Social House will serve burgers, sandwiches, soups, and salads, all focusing on fresh, local ingredients.
For an idea of what kind of food you'll find at The Gritzmaker Social House, you can check out Mill Creek Tavern's menu, which Ingersoll revamped when he purchased the restaurant earlier this year. The MCT Bacon Jam Burger is a favorite.
You'll find appetizers like Pickle Fries, Queso Nachos, and Wings. In addition to burgers and sandwiches, entrees include New York Strip, Firecracker Salmon, Smoked Porkchop, Perch Dinner, and a Wet Burrito.
The Gritzmaker Social House will have its liquor license as well.
While an exact opening date for the Gritzmaker Social House has yet the be announced, Ingersoll plans to open the new restaurant this fall.
