Kent County Is Working On Turning 90% of Its Trash Into Bioenergy

It is very exciting to know that instead of loading up the local landfills, energy can be created from biomass and produce transportation fuels, heat, electricity, and products.
What this means is, 90% of what you see in the picture doesn't have to be there and will be turned into energy for those living in Kent County.

Kent County to Build New Bioenergy Facility
According to WOOD, the Kent County Department of Public Works will receive a $5 million grant toward building a new bioenergy facility. The entire project will cost nearly $400 million but over time this will be money well spent making the county and this part of the state a whole lot better place to be for all.
The bioenergy facility is still waiting on approval from the Kent County Board of Commissioners and if the project gets their stamp of approval it should be active by the first half of 2027.
