A young Norton Shores man was at work when he spotted a random Rottweiler chained up to a fence or a telephone pole. When he saw that no one was attending to the dog, he thought he would bring it home to help out the dog and was trying to do a good deed. If the young man was able to walk up to the dog and load it into his car, it had to be friendly or the dog would have attacked him - but it didn't.

The Rottweiler wound up attacking the woman inside the home but according to WZZM-13, dragged the woman outside and continued to attack her. If it wasn't for a good samaritan who passed by the home noticing the woman facedown on the ground with the dog biting at her arms, and calling 911, this could have turned fatal.

Once emergency crews arrived, the dog was taken to a local pound - but the woman suffered severe injuries to her arms. One of the arms is in such bad condition the emergency crew on the scene is unsure whether the arm can be saved.
