Goodell is the voice of the billionaire team owners and has made some decisions throughout his tenure as commissioner that many athletes and fans have strongly disagreed with.

Goodell is no stranger to being booed. It has been a tradition for fans to boo him at the NFL Draft since 2016 as soon as he walks on stage. ESPN tries to muffle the audio but the boos continue to ring through.

Goodell has embraced his "villain" role and paid very highly to do so and the boos will likely continue as long as he is in command.

Maybe Goodell's team was trying to work up some positive "PR" by getting Penn & Teller to invite him on stage for one of their magic tricks during Super Bowl week in Las Vegas. If so, this may have backfired according to the NFL post on X.

Watch the video above of Penn and Teller bringing Goodell on stage to participate in a card trick that turns Goodell into a legendary Detroit Lion. I love how they mention Goodell as a volunteer from the audience as if he is some random stranger.

Goodell goes into the box to pick the card that comedian/actor Keegan Michael-Key picked. Which was a king of clubs. The box gets covered.

Then out pops the legendary running back of the Detroit Lions Barry Sanders dressed as a king of clubs. Penn said it was time to turn Sanders back to Goodell and that is when Michael-Key says wait a minute, can we keep Sanders a little longer? I was thinking the same thing but permanently as the new NFL Commissioner and the fans had a lot to say about it as well in the threads below:
