Crain's Grand Rapids reports that since then, Bath's sister Tammy Halsted has taken ownership of Rumors. She's been running the club from her home 2,000 miles away in the state of Wyoming.

Halsted tells Crain's the family is hoping to sell the property to someone who would keep it a nightclub and continue her brother's legacy, but they’d consider selling to a buyer who wanted to do something different with it.

The listing describes Rumors as

a celebrated and inclusive space, fostering a sense of community and belonging, and has been a cornerstone of the local LGBTQ+ scene for many years... The bar enjoys strong support from the local community, hosting regular events, themed nights, and private parties, which have contributed to its status as a beloved local hotspot.

Inside the 9,905 square foot building you'll find a dance floor, seating areas, and bar.

The adjacent parking lot with nearly 40 spaces is also included in the sale.

Built in 1904, General Manager Brett Grinage tells Crain's the building is in need of repairs, which include the floors, windows, and bars.

The broker with the listing, Drew Born tells Crain's the third floor of the building, which is currently used for storage, needs to be completely renovated.

He adds,

Ideally, it would be great to see the LGBTQ community rally around it, but at the same time, we’re really short on housing. It would be great to have either. I know the LGBTQ community doesn’t want to see it go, and rightfully so. I could see it go either way.

Currently, Rumors has events scheduled throughout the rest of December, and a New Year's Eve Party.
