World War II Planes Flying Over Muskegon 1st Time in 17 Years
If you are in Muskegon this weekend and hear some serious rumbles in the sky, no we are not being attacked but warplanes from World War II to today will be in the air.

The more modern planes built are not as loud as the planes built that were used in World War II.
If you are in the Muskegon area this weekend, don't be surprised if you see some unusual aircraft in the air that are louder and leave more smoke behind them than the planes you would see and hear daily.
For the first time in 17 years, the air show "Wings Over Muskegon" will return this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Wings Over Muskegon Air Show will feature the Yankee Air Museum's Aviation Experience Tour. They have brought WWII bombers to Huey copters all the way to planes that are currently being used in America's military today.
Attendees can even purchase tickets to ride historic planes like the B-25 Rosie's Reply Bomber, the B-17 Yankee Lady, the C-47 Harless Joe Skytrain, and the UH-1H Huey. To get flight times and tickets click here.
There will be a dozen planes on display that you will be able to get up close to, learn what they do and what they are used for, plus great some great pictures.

- Jim Beasley - North American P-51D Mustang
- Smoke-N-Thunder Jet Car - T-2A Aircraft Engine
