Where Are Some Great Bakeries in Grand Rapids? Start With These!

Thanksgiving is almost here and Christmas is but weeks away. Planning the dinner menu is a daunting task for most. And what about all the sweet treats and desserts, pies, cakes, cookies, pastries, and more?

If you’re not doing the baking yourself, where would you go with with so many bakeries to chose from?  I asked the website Wanderlog.com who came up with a "top" list of bakeries. They said they scoured through the internet and read through 6 reputable sites and blogs like Grand Rapids Magazine and Experience Grand Rapids. They gathered all the results in one place and ranked them by how many times they were mentioned so you know you're getting the best of the best. So, here we go!

With its delicious cupcakes, cookies, and other treats, Cakabakery is a must-visit in Uptown Grand Rapids. The boutique bakery is known for its handcrafted sweets and offers vegan and gluten-free options.

Wealthy Street Bakery

Van's Pastry Shoppe

Nantucket Baking Company

Nantucket Baking Company is a bakery in an old-fashioned neighborhood where the bakers focus on using only the highest quality ingredients to produce delicious breads, pastries and cakes. In addition to traditional favorites like cookies and baguettes, they also have vegan options.

Field & Fire

Field & Fire is a bakery that focuses on hand-baked European-style breads and pastries made with organic ingredients. Located in the Downtown Market, with a cafe on North Monroe, the pastry selection includes croissants, cinnamon buns and muffins, as well as other breads, all made with natural fermentation methods.

Le Bon Macaron

The bakery Le Bon Macaron offers a variety of flavors for dog owners to enjoy alongside their furry friend. Arnie's Bakery & Restaurant

Sara's Sweets Bakery 

Located in Northeast Grand Rapids, this family owned and operated bakery specializes in high quality custom cakes as well as a variety of other delicious baked goods. They use ingredients like butter, real vanilla and sugar to make their frosting creamy and delicious.
