WATCH: 13-Year-Old Michigan Boy Saves School Bus When Driver Blacks Out

A Michigan boy is being heralded as a hero after he saved a bus full of children after the driver of the school bus passed out while driving.

It's incredible how fast he realized what was happening, and how quickly he was able to step into action, and de-escalate the situation.

Back in November, 13-year-old Dylan Reeves was on a bus with dozens of other students from Warren Consolidated Schools in the Detroit area, when the driver of the bus radioed in that she wasn't feeling well, and would need to pull the bus over to safety.

But after getting off the radio, and starting to slow down, the driver lost consciousness. The bus then began to veer into oncoming traffic.

That's when Dylan jumped into action, stepping over the driver, on the brake, and grabbing the steering wheel for control. He then shouted at another student on the bus to contact 9-1-1.

The video from the bus was posted to the Reddit thread r/MadeMeSmile, where dozens of redditors praised Dylan for his quick thinking.

One redditor wrote:

"The fact that this kid both was paying enough attention to get up and take over AND remember to tell someone to call 911 like... color me impressed. this kid did better than I would have."

Of course, the bus did come to a stop after Dylan's quick thinking, and help quickly arrived. The bus driver was reportedly taken to the hospital to be checked out, though no serious condition was confirmed. None of the children on the bus were harmed in the incident.

One note, that many redditors liked to point out as well, was how well mannered Dylan was in the moment, even after recognizing the severity of the moment, he caught himself using a curse word, and change it.

"What a good boy. I like how he even hit them with 'S**t and then changed it to 'Crap.' I hope his parents are so proud of him."

The definitely were, and were present when the school district honored Dylan for his actions.

"To do something like this is just... it fills my heart. It makes my heart skip a beat. I'm extremely proud of him."
