Take a Look Inside Bo Schembechler’s Former Home: Ann Arbor, Michigan
During his days as coach for U-M, Bo Schembechler lived in a modest home on Arlington Boulevard in Ann Arbor. It was nothing fancy, which was the way he wanted it.
Bo was born on April Fool's Day 1929 in Barberton, Ohio; in another forty years he would be the head coach of the University of Michigan Wolverines.

Of course his real name is not “Bo”...he was born Glenn Edward Schembechler Jr.....so how did he get the nickname “Bo”? It came from his younger sister, Marge. She had trouble pronouncing the word 'brother' and it would come out as 'bobo' or sometimes 'bo' and it just stuck.
Making an excellent first impression, Bo won his very first game against OSU and his former coach, Woody Hayes, when the Wolverines won 24-12 on November 22, 1969. He also took the team to the Rose Bowl that season, which he had to coach from a hospital bed – after suffering a heart attack the night before.
Bo passed away due to heart disease on Friday, November 17, 2006 and is buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, Ann Arbor. You can see that Bo was even modest after his death, as his gravestone is nothing splashy, ornamental, or garish...just basically a normal headstone.
