Actor and musician Jeff Daniels is scheduled to appear in a virtual show December 12 as part of a fund raiser for the venue.

The show, which will be streamed live from the venerable downtown Kalamazoo State Theater, will feature Jeff performing an intimate show featuring some of the over 300 songs he has written over the years, and also will feature a Q and A with the actor.

Daniels, known for his roles in 'Dumb and Dumber', 'The Newsroom', and 'Terms of Endearment', has also graced the stage with musical legends such as John Hiatt and Lyle Lovett over the years.

His songs have been known to have a Michigan vibe, and are often about things from his childhood, like his love for the Detroit Tigers and their great star Al Kaline, and his experiences hunting in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

He also wrote a song about the desperation of being a Detroit Lions fan, called The Silver and Honolulu Blues, which was featured in short form on a FOX NFL pre-game broadcast recently. Perhaps Jeff will play the entire song in December.

Tickets to watch the live stream are available at the State Theater web site.
