Take deep breaths, Harry Potter fans, because it seems that there is a new chapter in the Harry Potter saga!

The Internet has gone wild over news that J.K. Rowling has published a short story which updates fans on the lives of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Luna Lovegood and Neville Longbottom.

Rowling has written the story update as the character Rita Skeeter, a faux gossip columnist for The Daily Prophet at the official Harry Potter community site, Pottermore. Registration is required to read the story but it is free if you haven't signed up yet.

We won't spoil too much if you are hoping to read the article yourself. In the article, we learn that six key members in Dumbledore's Army have reunited for the Quidditch World Cup Final. The characters are now in their mid-30s and have moved on in their adult lives years after the final battle with He Who Could Not Be Named.

Harry is showing signs of grey hair, Ron is showing signs of thinning hair, Hermione is enjoying a successful career in the Ministry, Neville is married and still teaching and Luna is now married with children.

That's all we'll tell you for now. At the end of the article, Skeeter (Rowling) writes, "But let us not be severe. Harry Potter and his cohorts never claimed to be perfect! And for those who want to know exactly how imperfect they are, my new biography: Dumbledore’s Army: The Dark Side of the Demob will be available from Flourish and Blotts on July 31st."

Is more written material coming? We shall find out!
