If you were looking forward to seeing Journey, Loverboy and Pat Benatar at Van Andel Arena this Saturday, you're unfortunately going to have to wait a little longer. Journey has postponed their next five shows, and that includes their Grand Rapids date.

Journey's lead singer, Arnel Pineda, has been diagnosed with severe laryngeal and esophageal inflammation, and has been ordered by his doctor to not perform for the next week according to their official news release.

The postponed dates have been rescheduled for January and February of 2013. Tickets will be honored for the new concerts. Refunds can be obtained at the point of purchase.

In an official statement, SMG of Grand Rapids said,

SMG Grand Rapids knows this may inconvenience many patrons, so we'd like to remind people who've already made accommodations that they are more than welcome to join us for the Wine, Beer and Food Festival beginning today [Thursday] and running through Saturday evening at DeVos Place. Patrons with tickets to Journey are offered a free admission to the Wine, Beer and Food festival with one purchase of admission. Receive two tickets for the price of one! Patrons are advised to show their tickets at the box office when purchasing.
