July 23 Is National Hot Dog Day!

One of the great joys of living in Michigan is our collective love of hot dogs! There are plenty of places in this food land of ours that claim to have the best type of hot dogs. Chicago, New York, LA and Cincinnati are just a few places where hot dogs are king.

Of course in Michigan we have the Coney dog, and closer to home, the hot dog with pickle shreds. This is the only place I have seen that has pickle relish with shredded dill pickles for hot dogs! And I love em! And we are blessed with plenty of great hot dog places! The One Stop Coney Stop, The Dog Pit, Johnny B's, Damn Dogs, the Corner Bar, the world famous Yesterdog and more grace West Michigan's food landscape.

July 23rd is National Hot Dog Day! To celebrate, Sonic Drive In's are offering hot dogs for a buck on Wednesday! Enjoy a couple of dogs! I just might!
