UPDATE: Quinn James has been found guilty of the murder of Mujey Dmbuya. He is now facing life in prison.

A maintenance worker at East Kentwood High School allegedly killed a student who accused him of rape has his fate in the hands of a jury.

According to WZZM, a Kent County jury began deliberating Wednesday on the future of accused murderer Quinn James.

James is accused for killing 16-year-old Mujey Dmbuya after she had accused him of raping her.

Dumbuya's body was located four days after she was last seen alive in a wooded area in Kalamazoo. After authorities had an autopsy performed it was discovered that Dumbuya died from strangulation.

The jury is still deliberating the case.

If James is convicted he will spend the rest of his life in prison.
