Declining births, graying baby boomers and restrictions on immigration have all contributed to many states seeing a population decline. But other pockets see growth due to job potential, quality of life, job commute, and rent prices. Stacker compiled a list of the top growing counties in Michigan. 

West Michigan faired pretty well with growing counties in Michigan. Here is the list of the top 10:

In 2019, Kent County had a population of 648,121. It's the 4th largest county in Michigan out of 83. Kent County is the 102nd largest county in the nation.  Stacker compiled the list of the fastest-growing counties in Michigan using data from the U.S. Census Bureau. Counties are ranked by the highest population growth from 2010 to 2019, based on 5-year estimates. Over the past decade, Kent County saw a growth of just above 8%.
