I'm not sure if its global warming or...we just got a lot of rain but Lake Michigan is at an all time high for the month of May.

According to WOOD, Lake Michigan has risen another 9 inches since the month of May has begun.

Not just Lake Michigan but according to the report issued by the Army Corps of Engineers in Detroit, all five Great Lakes have now broken their records for high water levels for the month of May.

Lake Michigan is one inch higher than its previous record that was set back in May of 1986. The lake has risen 13 inches since last May.

The Army Corps of Engineers report stated that wet conditions have caused the southwest part of the basin to rise 1 to 2 inches more. The region has had 28% more rain that normal for the month of May.

The Army Corps has predicted that Lake Michigan will rise to another two inches by the first of July.
