Eating and drinking at Detroit Lions' games just got cheaper!

The Detroit Free Press reports that on Tuesday, the team revealed lower prices for concession items at Ford Field.

Throughout the game, multiple locations will serve $5 beer.  A hot dog, beer and chips is $12, and if you want a combo with soda, it's $10.

Also, for the first hour after gates open, you can get "Power Hour" deals Social at Gate D and the Corner Bar & Grille along with Bud Light Party Zone and BLITZ: $2 pop and hot dogs, $3 beers and cocktails, or specialty drinks for $5. The team says the average savings for food and drink specials during Power Hour is more than 60%.

Lions president Rod Wood said in a statement,

“These fan-friendly, value-added food and beverage options are another example of us taking feedback from fans and using it to improve our gameday experience. Over the past year we have spent considerable time working with Levy to get something in place that makes sense for our fans without hurting the quality or speed of service. We’re thrilled to be able to introduce these value options in time for the 2018 season.”

The Lions say they also have implemented more point of sale systems and more specialized concepts to up the speed of service, so fans can spend less time in line.
