The Lions released linebacker Stephen Tulloch yesterday, and he responded in the classiest way possible.

Meanwhile, the Calvin Johnson mystery continues.

March 9 marks the offical start of the new NFL fiscal year, and that means a lot of tough roster decisions need ot be made. The Detroit Lions released a fan favorite in linebacker Stephen Tulloch, and Stephen responded with some wonderful words about them.

Tulloch went to Facebook to express how he felt about his stay in Detroit.

What a journey it's been Detroit! Five years of some of the greatest memories of my career. I can't put into words how...

That's some beautiful words for a franchise considered to be one of the league's worst.

Meanwhile, the Calvin Johnson mystery continues.

“It’s still in Calvin’s camp to make a decision. I talked to him on Monday,” Lions team President Rod Wood said. “Calvin has not made a decision. If he wants to come back, we’d love to have him back. If he decides to retire, we’re going to support that, too. He needs to decide what’s right for him. The worst thing we could do is put pressure on him."

Megatron has until that March 9 deadline to make the decision, thereby allowing the team to move forward with personnel decision based on having or not having him on the roster.

If he makes his retirement official that day—March 9 will be the final day he is ever on any NFL roster.
