There has been a lot of interest in the 1989 movie "Field of Dreams" lately.

They recently played a major league baseball game on the field used in the movie, located in Dyersville, Iowa. The game was so well received, Major League Baseball has announced that they will be doing it again next year.

Here in West Michigan, the Deep Roots Produce Farm in Caledonia is putting the final touches on an 11 acre corn maze with a "Field of Dreams" theme. You will be able to check out the maze for yourself beginning Labor Day weekend.

To me, it only makes sense to have a corn maze with this theme. In the movie the baseball players emerged from a field of corn. Why hasn't anyone done this before?!

Deep Roots Produce Farm posted this video on their Facebook page to promote the Corn Maze...

The Maze will open on Saturday, September 4th (Labor Day Weekend). The maze will include three separate trails that each varying in difficulty and length (0.3 miles, 1.4 miles and 3.6 miles.)

If you can't wait for the corn maze to open, they also have a Sunflower Maze and Trail at Deep Roots Produce Farm which is open now...

Deep Roots Produce is located at 8570 84th Street in Caledonia. Their hours are Monday through Friday from 10 am to 6:30 pm, on Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm, and Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm.

For additional information and to purchase tickets to the mazes, visit their website. Additional details are also posted on their Facebook page.

While visiting, don't forget to check out their animal barn. They have three alpacas, four goats, two sheep and their star chicken -- Beyonce!

The farm is owned and operated by Stephen and Liv McDaniel. The opened in March of 2019 to offer a u-pick, we-pick produce stand and pumpkin patch.
