Lowe's is giving small businesses a chance to apply for a $5,000-$20,000 emergency relief grant through a nonprofit.

Lowe's has partnered with the nonprofit Local Initiatives Support Corporation, also known as LISC, and donated $55 million to help small businesses struggling because of the coronavirus pandemic.  The $55 million donation makes Lowe's the largest contributor to LISC with other donor companies being Verizon, Sam's Club, Wells Fargo, State Farm and AT&T.

According to LISC.org, "$30 million will focus on small businesses owned or led by minorities and women," and "$25 million will support enterprises in rural communities".

LISC is accepting applications through Monday, August 3rd at 11:59 pm, so if you are interested in applying for a $5,000-$20,000 grant, you should do so right now.
