On Saturday, tomorrow, May 14, letter carriers will be conduct their annual Stamp Out Hunger food pantry drive in Grand Rapids.  Just put non-perishable foods in a bag by your mailbox and the mail carriers and other postal employees and volunteers will pick them up and deliver to area food pantries.  I've always thought this was a great event.  And I hope you will join me in helping out those less fortunate.  You may be amazed how many families right here in Grand Rapids have a rough time just putting food on the table. One of the local food pantries helping those in need in Grand Rapids is North End Community Ministry located at Plainfield United Methodist Church.

Because of the great efforts of the postal workers, the drive has resulted in delivery of more than one billion pounds of donations to community food banks and food pantries over the the past 18 years.

Thanks in advance for your support!
