Quinn James, the man convicted of killing a 16-year-old East Kentwood student Mujey Dumbaya, has been sentenced to life in prison.

FOX-17 reports that James had previously been convicted and sentenced to a minimum of 20 years in prison for raping Dumbaya. He was charged with her murder in January 2018 after Dumbaya was found dead just days before she was scheduled to testify against him at trial.

James was a groundskeeper at East Kentwood High School, where Dumbaya was a student. She disappeared on January 24, 2018 and her body was found in Kalmazoo four days later.

This is a developing story.
