If you are planning on getting that boat out on the water for Memorial weekend, here is some info on marina gas prices.

According to WOOD, Memorial Day weekend is one of the busiest time of year for marinas but actually boating will depend on the weather.

Tom McMahon from Skipper Bud's in Grand Haven Michigan says if the weather is nice boats will be on the water in high numbers.

McMahon also mentioned gas prices so far have been about the same as last year with marina gas at $4.25 a gallon and diesel at $3.47 per gallon.

Gas prices will differ from marina to marina so you may want to load up at an inland gas station and fill up a few cans as well if you want to save a few bucks.

Due to the higher levels of water this season, McMahon advised boaters to watch out for extra debris that has blown in. Also, many docks are still under water.

McMahon said boat sales are "very strong this year". Larger boats are moving like hot cakes. If you plan on purchasing a boat, you better order now because boat sales, at least at Skipper Bud's, are close to doubling from last year so the demand is high.
