It has been a long and hard fought battle for the vape industry here in Michigan the last few months. Back in September, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer placed a ban on any vaping product (excluding  tobacco or menthol flavors) to make the habit less inciting for children. Two vape shop owners in the state took to the courts to sue and the Court of Claims granted a preliminary injunction against said ban due to the impact it would have on local businesses.

"Name a business that will thrive when you pull, by force, 82% of their product. There isn't one." Says Ron Pease, chief executive officer of  Mister-E-Liquid here in GR.

Last Friday the Michigan State Senate met and rules 6-1 against Whitmer's ban on flavored nicotine vaping products stating "The Court is not persuaded that the question presented should be reviewed by this Court before consideration by the Court of Appeals."

This news came right after the new smoking age was announced in Michigan.

Pease told The Center Square "No one denies there’s an issue with youth vaping, but that shouldn’t result in banning flavors and products from legal-aged adults." He also expressed a strong feeling that Whitmer's ban will not stand.
