Clearly winning $500,000 wasn't enough for this couple who are being accused by police for a string of home burglaries.

MLive reports that the Bay City couple, 28- & 29-years-old, were each charged with "second-degree home invasion and possession of burglary tools" in Bay County, with even more charges expected.

In 2016, Stephanie Harvell won $500K off a $5 scratch-off. What made the prize even more rewarding was that she and her husband, Mitchell Arnswald, were having money problems -- she told Michigan Lottery officials that she had just received an eviction notice the day she won. Most would consider this a blessing. Not these two apparently.

For the last two months, the couple is being linked to multiple home robberies in Bay, Arenac, Saginaw, Midland, and Tuscola counties. They were caught last Thursday after their SUV matched the description of a reported home invasion in Merrit Twp. Items that were reported stolen were found in their car. Police also found stolen items in their home after getting a search warrant.

It's not said what the couple did with the money they won; maybe they spent it all or maybe they're kleptos. Regardless, I think it's safe to say that's where their good karma ended.
