Michigan International Speedway is back in action this weekend with NASCAR but there's just one thing missing, no fans in the stands.

I'm sure NASCAR fans are pumped that drivers are still racing and they can at least watch the event on television.

For many Michigan NASCAR fans as well as other fans in the region, it's a big deal to be at the race. Many bring campers and tailgate and for some families, it has been a tradition to spend a week or weekend at MIS.

COVID-19 sure throws us all a lot of curve balls when it comes to traditions.

Nonetheless, there still will be some rubbin' and racin' going on at MIS this weekend.

According to FOX 17, NASCAR has a full weekend of events going on at MIS that include four races in three different series. Now that's a lot of racin'!

The NASCAR Cup Series FireKeepers Casino 400 will hit the track on Saturday, August 8, and the NASCAR Cup Series Consumers Energy 400 will be on the blacktop on Sunday, August 9.

One good thing for racing fans is that you will get two days of racing on TV when you normally only get one...it's something right?

There are two more races that will take place over the weekend and the first is the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series that happens on Friday, August 7. The other race is the ARCA Menards Series VizCom 200 that will happen Sunday, August 9.

Now if you are one of the loyal ticket holders for MIS for 2020 you can expect to automatically receive a credit for the full amount of your purchase, plus an additional 20% of the total amount paid in your account within the next seven to ten days.

You can then use your credit to either apply it to next year's race or any NASCAR owned track but if you are looking for a full refund you have to knock out that form by midnight Friday, August 7.
