We all love going to the theater to see a new movie. There have been some great movies released in the last couple of weeks, from "Top Gun: Maverick" to the new Jurassic Park movie "Jurassic World: Dominion".

A 30-year-old man in Detroit, Michigan, named Jason Lenzi, decided that maybe squirrels would like to sit and watch a movie as much as we do. He took the time to build a movie theater -- just for the squirrels.

He constructed the miniature movie theater to include many of the same things we humans find at at theater. There is a marquee outside, movie posters, a concession stand, snacks, a bathroom, and the main theater with a big screen to watch the movie.

The squirrel movie theater took about two months to put together and cost Jason about $600 for materials.

Opening weekend was a success, however the squirrels did not like the fact that they were being watched while visiting the theater. One of the squirrels knocked the camera off the wall.

Here is a video of the construction and Grand Opening of squirrel theater showing "Revenge of the Squirrels" for the opening weekend...

A few years ago, someone started making picnic tables for squirrels and that become really popular. Here is a video of just how to build a squirrel picnic table and you can see how it works...

Will this become a new trend in the squirrel world? Will other squirrel movie theaters start popping up across the country now?

If squirrels can water ski, why can't they eat at picnic tables and go to movies too?!
