"Greed," Michael Douglas' character Gordon Gecko once said in the movie Wall Street, "is good." "Not always," responded Jojo Girard to the screen.

West Michigan Couple Busted In Cedar Springs For Running A Criminal Enterprise

This should go without saying, but if you're using a stolen credit card, you don't need to worry about getting a further discount on the items you're purchasing.

A 30-year-old woman in Cedar Springs named Ashley Trout went on a shopping spree with a stolen credit card recently.  And she was caught because at one stop, a Tractor Supply store, she used her personal rewards card.

Perhaps she was hoping to get a deal, maybe some extra rewards points, or maybe it was just habit, but one thing is certain: connecting the transaction to her loyalty account made it easy for the cops to track her down.

Well, it was that, AND the video from the security camera which caught their every move.

The Credit Card Wasn't The Only Thing The Dynamic Duo Swiped

And it wasn't just one stolen card, Ashley and her husband Edward, confessed to breaking into at least 15 storage units at the Boxer Storage Units in Cedar Springs, stealing guns, and other items and then selling them online. The stolen credit cards were from one of the units.

Oh, and there's the whole thing about having some illegal drugs lying around when they were finally busted, most notably meth.

They were charged with conducting a criminal enterprise, breaking and entering with intent, possession of a stolen credit card, and larceny of a firearm.
